Personal Safety

The terrorist attack in Paris, France on November 13, 2015 hit me hard. The need for personal safety has now (again) become a priority in every level of my life and the nations. It is time to evaluate our vulnerable areas as a traveler, shopper, mother, father and provider.I am a baby boomer and lived through the Vietnam War, President Kennedy's assassination, the gas shortage, the Cold War, the Twin Towers attack and other numerous historical events. Our present situation has introduced a new style of tactical warfare. The enemy orchestrates bomb threats, controls their captives lives and plan suicide bombs for maximum results. They control our everyday lives with fear and intimidation. What can we do to maintain our personal safety from thieves, home intruders and in the bigger picture zealots' willing to die for their cause in malls, theatres and cafes? Most importantly, we must be aware of our surroundings, observe the people around you and have some type of device with you to attack them or protect yourself. The demand is growing for devices that can be used to defend ourselves. Concealed weapons permits are growing in popularity, but not everyone desires to carry a gun everywhere they go.I had an incident where my purse was stolen. You feel exposed and your privacy is lost. I made a decision then to acquire a concealed weapons permit to help me feel less vulnerable. I don't carry the firearm with me, but it is there if I need it. Not everyone is in favor of firearms and that is cool. For your personal safety these devices can be small but effective and easily concealed in pockets, purses or attached to key chains.*.Personal Protection Alarm*.Pepper Spray*.Self-defense key chains*.Stun GunsOur technology today is very sophisticated and advanced. We have the capability to compile information through video cameras, computer chatter and monitoring known terrorists that travel to or in the United States. The Islamic State, also known as ISIS*.Began small during the 2003 Second Gulf War*.ISIS was created as an al-Qaida affiliate*.They hold territories in Syria and Iraq*.ISIS uses the social media to promote their politics and religious beliefs*.ISIS' revenues comes from oil production, ransoms; selling stolen artifacts and extortionIn closing, maintaining our personal safety is critical. The crime rate in the United States is growing. The threat of an attack from ISIS is real and will happen. The innocent years in the 1950's are gone. I was a young child then and never felt threaten. For our present and future generations we need to bring back that feeling of security and peace.Home Security and Gadgets has several products for personal safety.
