What Are You Willing To Do For Success?

How much is success worth to you? How far are you willing to take it? What are you willing to give up? If I said someone has to die for you to succeed, are you willing to make that sacrifice? No I'm not talking about murder. I'm talking about killing yourself. Not suicide either. I'm talking about destroying the YOU that continues to deny yourself the freedom of success. I'm talking about the YOU that is so afraid of failure you don't even bother giving a third of your best effort.Let's say you are at the beach. The sand in your toes, the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea have reached your senses. Before coming to the beach you bought a new beach ball that of course needs to be inflated. Now this beach day is wonderful and all it needs to be a success is for you to blow up the ball and get playing. You hold the package in your hand and think passionately that you'd love for it to be blown up. It doesn't blowup. Heck it's still in the package. Oh no, should youquit? Is the day ruined? I mean you did set a reasonable goal that you felt passionate about. Sowhat gives? Does the universe hate you? What's wrong with this ball and why doesn't it want to be played with? You almost give up and go home out of frustration but remember how wonderful of a day it's been thus far. You decide to give blowing up the ball another shot. This time not only are you passionately thinking about your goal but youalso decide to open the packaging. Like a responsible human being you throw the trash in the proper bin and continue to dwell on your goal of playing with your new ball at the beach on such a lovely day. A few moments pass and nothing else changes. You begin to get frustrated again. The intention is there and you took some action yetstill no results. You are so close to chucking the ball into the ocean when you have a brilliant idea. You decide to blow some air into the ball. One deep breath, the ball inflates slightly but not nearlyenough to be able to play. So another deep breath and another and another and another and another, until you start to feel light headed. You're light headed but the ball isn't totally inflated. You have the passion to blow up the ball and you've taken necessary action but the ball is still not completely inflated. Is it time to quit? No, it's time to overcome the challenge of being light headed and slightly winded and give a really deep breath. Alas, the ball is inflated and now you are free to play and enjoy the rest of your beach day.Wow, great story about a beach ball. Now how is that significant? Easy you form all sorts of goals that you so passionately want to happen but whenthey don't instantly happen you give up. You may put some effort like opening the package but the ball won't get inflated with the most minimal effort. Heck it's going to take a lot of the right action to get what you want. Even with the right action being taken problems and obstacles will arise. So if you want success you have to be willing to endure all sorts of failures to make it possible. You're going to have to kill that part of yourself that is so worried about preventing failure that you don't even try. If success were easy you wouldn't need to read what I'm writing. However, it may not be easy but it is as SIMPLE as refusing to give up.Remember that you must put forth the time and effort to become the person you want to be and livethe life of your dreams. You owe it to yourself to push to be the best you possible. Strive to improve daily and take things in stride.
