Congo virus prevention: KP Livestock department

The Livestock Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has established 130 check posts across the province for prevention of Congo virus where 529 employees have been deployed for conducting spray in cattle markets and cattle pen. The Livestock Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in wake of the information of the affecting of people from Congo virus in some areas of Punjab and Balochistan has initiated emergency based suitable steps for the prevention of the disease in the province.Furthermore, the staff is not only performing duties on check posts, but also going to cattle markets and cattle pens for conducting spray to prevent the disease in an effective manner. The Livestock Department (Extension Wing) in a recent communique has elaborated details regarding the disease that Congo virus is spread through a virus, which transferred from one animal to another through a specific high loma.
