Lemon shortage prompts Punjab action

A shortage of lemon in Ramazan bazaars has prompted the Punjab government to tell the administration in the provincial metropolis to ensure the commodity's availability.The concerns also saw on Tuesday a string of surprise visits by Agriculture Minister Farrukh Javed to bazaars in Shadman,the Wahdat Road and Model Town.He also talked to District Coordination Officer Muhammad Usman about the shortage.The minister talking to media representatives claimed all efforts were being made during Ramazan to provide best possible relief to people and his government representatives were keeping a strict check on the bazaars and open market to ensure availability of quality food items at fixed prices.News SourceNews Collated byPAKISSAN.com
