A number of Punjab Food Authority teams checking different food outlets and godowns in theprovincial metropolis have sealed two godowns of the Arif Store on charges of selling unhygienic ketchup and edible oil in loose packing.The first swoop by the Ravi Town team took place in the Badami Bagh area where it sent samples of ketchup and edible oil for further analysis.The same team also took action against the Saadaat Goods Forwarding Agency and confiscated 1,800 kilogrammes of red chillies.The authority then sent the samples to lab for further testing while it also confiscated equipment. Its Data Ganj Bukhsh Town counterpart too sealed the New Shan Baker's godown situated on the Kutcha Ravi Road after being found guilty of keeping food in its dirty freezer and employing workers without medical certificates.The Gulberg Town team also closed down the Tokyo Jees café on the MM Alam Road for flouting the rules of hygiene and selling expired items or placing them for sale without printing manufacturing and expiry dates.The Nishtar Town team fined the Gourmet Bakers after being charged with having insects and faulty arrangements.The Gulberg Town team too fined the Shahid Waheed Juice Corner because of dirty freezers.The Allama Iqbal Town team fined Zakir Tikka on the PIA Road because of broken freezers, while the Samanabad Team did the same to the Azhar NaanChanay and the Allah Hoo Naan Shop.News SourceNews Collated byPAKISSAN.com
